THIS STARTED WITH THE RIVER
Coochee River Co. started with a love for the parts of Florida that still feel like Florida.
Blackwater. Cypress knees. Moss hanging low over the river. Old docks, muddy banks, backroads and the kind of places most people pass right by.
We wanted to build something around that feeling - the river life we know, the stories that come with it, and the little pieces of Old Florida that are still hanging on.
WHY COOCHEE?
Around here, the Withlacoochee has always just been the Coochee.
The name is part river shorthand, part local personality, and part reminder not to take ourselves too seriously. Coochee River Co. is our nod to the place, the people and the kind of Old Florida that still has a little mud on it.
